Caroline Tickner studied Arts (BA, Hons) majoring in Art History and Classics at the University of Melbourne. Determined to follow her fascination in history, art and beautiful design she has forged a career incorporating all of these loves. She is a fully qualified gemmologist, (F.G.A.A.), holds a Diploma in Diamond Technology and is a registered valuer with the National Council of Jewellery Valuers. With nearly twenty years of auction industry experience and more than ten years as a practicing gemmologist, she is highly skilled in all aspects of jewellery from identification to valuation. Antique Jewellery is a personal passion and area of extensive knowledge and expertise.

Caroline Tickner Jewellery Services provides valuations for market, insurance, probate and matrimonial purposes. Offering a unique and professional valuation service, Caroline can work directly with clients to value their collection in situ or at a location suitable to both parties.

A qualified gemmologist for nearly 15 years, Caroline has handled literally tens of thousands of pieces of jewellery and relishes in identifying gemstones from ornamental specimens, semi- precious stones to high end large diamonds.

The combination of Caroline’s extensive network of industry contacts, her appreciation of the history of jewellery and its styles, as well as her gemmological knowledge, make her well placed to source jewellery.
