Estate work is a particular area of expertise and in addition to the valuation of jewellery, watches, coins and medals can also be assessed. Specialist valuers are also available for art, antiques and collectibles.
Items can be valued in situ, whether that is in your office, bank vault, clients home, or a location specified by you. There is no need to remove jewellery from premises, ensuring security and peace of mind that items are safe at all times.
A full range of gemmological equipment is used so jewellery can be accurately identified and verified on site. All items are photographed for precise referencing and identification and are included in the valuation report.

Gemmology
Is your stone natural or synthetic? Has it been treated, coated, cooked, boiled, drilled or filled? These are just some of the technical challenges faced by a gemmologist on a daily basis. With extensive experience and knowledge about all gemstones, Caroline is well-informed of the latest gemmological news and technical skills required to identify gemstones whether they are set as pieces of jewellery or loose stones. In addition Caroline has recently acquired a qualification in diamond technology which examines the theory as well as the practical aspects of diamond grading.

Caroline is an established jewellery auctioneer with over 15 years of experience. She has auctioned thousands of pieces, whether it is a $10 piece of costume jewellery or a prestigious high value diamond ring worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Auctioneering of jewellery is a unique and time honoured skill. With many years of experience, Caroline knows how to engage with buyers and entice them to put up their hand and bid. Controlled and professional she engages with her audience and also represents the buyer whilst displaying integrity and poise.
Remodelling
Do you have a piece of jewellery you no longer wear? We can advise on how to incorporate the sentiment into a more wearable piece. Working together we can create jewellery that reflects you and suits your lifestyle.
Repairs, Cleaning and rethreading
There is no point having a wonderful piece of jewellery if it doesn’t work. A small diamond may have fallen out, or a stone might be looking dull or chipped. We are happy to assist in making the piece sparkle and shine again by helping you wear it to the best of its ability. It may require rethreading, repolishing or a simple clean.
